OPEN CALL FOR ARTISTS – APPLY NOW! Durham County is seeking artists or artist teams to design and install permanent public artworks at various project locations which include but are not limited to Durham County Administration Building 1, New 300 E. Main Street Parking Deck, New 500 East Main Street Parking Deck, and the New Durham County Youth Home. Multiple artists will be commissioned for each location, and the type and scope of artwork varies by location. This is announced as a rolling Call for Artists that opened in February 2022 and will close on August 31 2022. Artist selections will begin immediately for early projects and continue through 2022 and into 2023 for others. Artist applications must be made through CaFE, the national Calls for Artists online portal. We are looking for Artists of all types and levels of experience, and emerging Artists can submit community references. Preference will be given to local Artists who live or work in Durham County.
