Information We Collect
Information we collect includes both information you knowingly and actively provide us when using or participating in any of our services and promotions, and any information automatically sent by your devices in the course of accessing our products and services.
When you sign up for or use ChaiBuzz, you voluntarily share certain information including your name, email address, phone number, photos and any other information you give us. Use of this feature is totally optional and is only intended to ease your experience with ChaiBuzz. We don't require access to user location. We will still use your IP address, which is used to approximate your location, even if you don't choose to share your precise location. This location information is used only for debugging and assessing usage of ChaiBuzz. If you connect your Facebook, Google or other third-party accounts to ChaiBuzz, we use information from those accounts (such as your name, email and profile picture) to improve your ChaiBuzz experience. This is dependent on the privacy policies or settings for those accounts.
Store owners or regular admin users can add products to their store. This typically includes images related to products, description and metadata related to these products. Store owners are allowed to delete any information and or products related to their store through the user interface.
Request for Deletion of data
Users who have created user accounts with ChaiBuzz (either directly or via Facebook, Google of third-party accounts), can request deletion of their account by sending an email to [email protected] Each user will have to submit an email from the email address associated with their user account. This results in all user-related information being deleted including metadata such as name, email and profile picture that we get from third-party tools such as Facebook, Google. ChaiBuzz provided tools in the UI (Admin dashboard) that facilitate deletion of data (such as removing an item or product).
Currently the users that log in to ChaiBuzz are of 2 types (store owners and admin users that help with maintaining stores on behalf of store owners). Deletion of user account will inturn result in deletion of all user owned data. Any information related to a store, is deleted based on their permissions. Example:
- If a regular admin user (not store owner) requests for deletion of account, only the user account will be deleted as the store and products are not owned by this user.
- If a store owner requests for deletion of user account, all the user account data, products, inventory, catalog and metadata related to those stores will be deleted. In this particular case, since the store no longer exists even the regular admin users associated with the store will be removed.
NOTE: Server Logs are treated separately and are held on our servers typically for about 30 days and are deleted automatically after that. We log only the information that is necessary in order for the maintenace of our application and for our debugging purposes.
