Wake county commissioners voted to fund 2 new greenway connections. These will link Apex to the American Tobacco Trail and Holly Springs. The board voted unanimously to provide a total of $1.69 million to help fund construction of these greenways that will begin in 2022.

The first project will complete the 6.5 mile <a href="https://www.apexnc.org/DocumentCenter/View/9889/Apex-West-Greenway">Apex West - Beaver Creek Greenway corridor</a>

The other is a 1 mile section of the Middle Creek Greenway.
